WAIPUNGA RIVER RAFTDestination - Tarawera Area - 1 hour from Napier. Glorious and peaceful. Half or Full day. An easy Raft through exquisite private bush land, enjoying superb spots to swim, relax and maybe even fish. There is great fishing. Maximum 4 people. This trip is ideal for a half day then horse ride for the other half. See Mohaka Horse Trek no. 4. 3. MOHAKA RAFT & FISHDestination - Anglers Hut to Horseshoe. Full day only. 4. HORSE TREKDestination - Tarawera district 1 hours from Napier glorious and peaceful. Ride for the length of time that suits you. Enjoy a ride through stunning native bush on private land. You will take a sidetrack up to 3000 feet and view the coast, and the Te Urewera and Kaiweka Ranges. The main track leads through bush for three hours to the edge of the mighty Mohaka River. Riding experience is not necessary. You will need to wear sensible shoes (sneakers are fine) and preferably long trousers/pants. Helmets are provided. WHITE WATER - MOHAKA RIVER RAFTINGDestination - Mohaka River. 1 hour from Napier. Exhilarating. Maximum of 4 people. Come and enjoy white water rafting on the Mohaka River. The River runs from easy to stretches up to Grade 4, and we will travel through incredibly beautiful bush country, rich in Maori history. The trip includes some exciting rapids like the Te Hoe Drop. We will finish at Waitara Station. Certified white water experts will guide you. We provide wet suit pants and a windbreaker shell. You will want to bring a bathing suit, warm top, sun hat and comfortable shoes to wear in the raft. HUNTINGDestination - 1 hour from Napier. Adventurous. For the hardy. Maximum 2 people. Red Deer and Boar hunting on private land high in the bush covered ranges. Arrive in the evening and stay overnight in a bush home. Your guide has lived and guided in this country for many years. The terrain is high, and bush covered and the hunting is done on horseback. Riding experience not necessary. Leave for the hunt at daybreak. Return in the afternoon. Trout fishing is a good option for the afternoon. TWO DAY/ ONE NIGHT TOURSMOHAKA HORSE RIDE/RAFTDestination - Mohaka River. 1 hour from Napier. Exhilarating. Ride through New Zealand native bush on private land with a local guide who has lived in this area for many years. Learn about and absorb wonderful bush during this three-hour ride down to our camp site on the edge of the mighty Mohaka River. Camp overnight beside the river, and enjoy a delicious dinner. The next day raft the Mohaka with all its thrills. Rafting will take 4 -5 hours, and is from easy to Grade 4, all rafters must be 13 years and over. Maximum of 4 people.
